There are a lot of things that will be taken into account before the UK lockdown can be lifted most of all it is the number of deaths that have happened during that day because of the virus and the number of people that have been infected that day. The government has also issued a list of what needs to happen before the UK lockdown can be lifted. You can see this list below. Now, this does not mean that the government will not lift the lockdown at all until these things are meant they might lift some things at a time but they probably won't to make sure that there is not a second peak.
List of what needs to happen before it can be lifted-
- Protect the NHS's ability to cope and be confident that the NHS is able to provide sufficient critical care across the UK.
- See a sustained and consistent fall in daily death rates to be confident the UK is beyond the peak.
- Reliable data from Sage showing rate of infection is decreasing to manageable levels across the board.
- Confident that testing capacity and PPE are in hand with supply able to meet future demand.
- Confident that any adjustments to the current measures would not risk a second peak in infections which would overwhelm the NHS.
We need to get this mass testing done so that we can all leave this lockdown and so that we can all see our loved ones again. The government might start to lift the lockdown in small parts may be using the bubble scheme so that we can all go and see a small bubble of people maybe a maximum of 10 people but I am not sure if they will implement this yet. I will let you all know if I find anything else out about the long down but until then as always from me...
Stay Safe IFB :)
