Facebook To Ban Protests Defying Government Rules

Facebook has decided to ban anything the has got to do with anti-lockdown protests has many of the protests start on Facebook and are organized on Facebook as well. 

Now, this is a good idea as the fewer protests that get organized then the less people that will be outside which is a good thing as they will be saving lives but even if they manage to stop the protests being organized on Facebook that doesn't mean that they have stopped the protests. These protests will still continue they just won't be using Facebook as the site to organise them on, they will just move to all of the other social media platforms and create group chats and stuff like that to organise them. 

Unless the whole company of Facebook decides to ban any account that is linked to the anti-lockdown protest then this might stop them as Facebook owns a lot of other social media platforms as well as WhatsApp and messenger. There are a lot of accounts that are linked to Facebook so unless Facebook decides to remove all the accounts that are linked to these protests then they will just continue to grow and grow even more. I am not sure if Facebook has got the authority to do this unless the government of these countries enforces it.

There is a lot of problems that will surround this if Facebook decides to go through with this such as the media censorship rules and lots of other things as well as I am a firm believer in that nothing should be censored completely there should just be warnings on each post saying what it might contain. This obviously does not mean that I approve of everything that is posted online just some specific things that are currently being censored shouldn't be. I know media censorship online is not that big of a deal in some countries such as the UK as we basically find a way to get around everything but in some places like china things get censored as lots of propaganda can be shared online. I guess this fits into the anti-lockdown protests as that could be classed as propaganda as well. 

I hope no one reading this is thinking about joining the anti-lockdown protest as you are just making it longer for the rest of us and if I am honest it is just stupid. Thank you for taking the time to read this small article and as always from me...
