One of Apple's biggest flaws, in my opinion, was the price tag surrounding new phones that they release and the fact that they cost an arm and a leg if you want them as soon as they have been released. Now Apple has released a new budget iPhone with the same if not more powerful insides than there previous phones. This new iPhone is not going to make you need a new mortgage to be able to afford it as it is only $399 which is a steal.
The big selling point of this phone is not just the price but it is the new A13 chip inside the phone that is the fastest CPU and GPU on any phones that are available on the market right now. They have said that not only is it the fastest chip but it is also the best chip to use for day to day usage of a phone, whether that is making a billion phone calls a day or playing games on the phone. Yes, that is right you can play games on the new budget iPhone.
Usually, when a cheap version of a phone comes out they have got to compromise with something else on the phone and the compromise that Apple had to make with this phone is removing some of the cameras which I think is a fair trade to have a new fast phone. This new iPhone is outperforming some of the most expensive flagship phones such as the new one plus 8 and the new s20 from Samsung.
Iphones seem to be dominating the smartphone market recently and this new iPhone puts them miles in front of all of the other phones on the market. It does leave the question of what Samsung and Google will do to outperform this new iPhone. I hope they manage to produce something that they have been working on for a while in secret and it just destroys this new iPhone.
Hopefully, Apple has thought about the battery power that this new chip will need so that this new iPhone does not have to be on charge all the time like some other Iphones that I know of. With Apple also slowing down older phones I am sure that this new phone will feel a lot faster than previous phones not just because of the new chip but because Apple will have slowed down all of the previous iPhones so much that they will have to buy this new phone. I wonder if there will be some problems with this new phone as there usually is with new technology that gets released.
I am looking forward to the advancements that are going to be made to the smartphone markets as this is a footstep into a new era of superfast pocket computers. Maybe, with the new phones and the new tablets, this will make laptops obsolete as we have the same power of a laptop in our pockets.
