The updates to the IOS have got to be tested a lot before they can be released to the public this is why Apple has got a group of developers to make sure that they can test the IOS before the public gets their hands on it. This is just an extra measure of security so that when Apple does release an update it is as secure as possible and there are not a lot of bugs to the program.
This latest update is for health care workers and for people who are wearing a mask and using Face ID to unlock their phones. Before this update, they would have to find a way to enter there passcode and now they do not have to go through this route as the Face ID will be able to detect if you are wearing a mask and then just show you the passcode for you to enter it. I have always wondered how this would work if you were wearing a mask and now we have some answers.
I will be testing the Face unlock on my phone to see how secure it is compared to Apples as something to pass my time and I will be sure to post my review to this page. Apple has always had a very secure face unlock compared to a lot of other phones which is a great feature of Apple's phones. I really think this new update is something that has been missing for a long time for health care professionals as their job is wearing a mask so if Apple has found a way that they are able to keep there mask on then this is a huge step forward.
There are always a lot of changes happening in the technology world and I always look forward to what the next step is in security.
