Working From Home

This lockdown has effected a lot of people but the thing it has an effect for most of us is how we work and where do we work is it at home or do we still have to go into the office to work.

A lot of people are told to work from home if they can but a lot of jobs are classed as manual labor jobs so how are people meant to do these sorts of jobs at home, they physically can't but for those people who work in an office, it is easy for them to work at home. This virus has proven that people can work from home so could this become a full-time thing even after the lockdown has ended could some of these people who work at home stay at home to do the work or is putting too much trust into the employees.

A business has got to put a lot of trust in its employees to allow them to work from home, will they still stick to the 9-5 hours will they do more hours with no overtime. I think it is easier to work from home as you do not have to go to an office and you get to wear your pajamas all-day without anyone knowing plus you get to do it from the comfort of your own bed. There are some disadvantages of working from home such as you do not get to socialize with your co-workers any more because you are not in an office and you have really got to manage your time well and allow yourself for breaks which can be difficult if you are treating this whole lockdown as a break from work.

Most people have got manual labor jobs which they can not do from home so the government was meant to help these people out by becoming furloughed and giving them 80% of there pay from this point last year. It seems very appealing right. Wrong, what they didn't tell us that it was 80% of the profit you made from this point the last year after your expenses and for some business, the expenses are still the same they are just not making as much profit so they can not pay there rent or pay for food things like that. This is a load of garbage if you ask me because if the government is going to be giving you 8-% of what you made then it should be 80% of your income not after expenses.

How are all of you doing with working from is it easy or are you finding the self-discipline not to binge-watch Netflix a challenge?
