As soon as the lockdown was announced everyone who uses wifi at home must have had a small panic attack because with everyone being at home then that means the demand on WIFI would be a lot more making it slower. A lot of people blame Netflix for having slow wifi for example if someone in your house it was Netflix you might not be able to watch youtube or it might cause your game to lag. Most people say that it is online gaming causing the wifi to be slow but this is not the cause if we compare the statistics.
Netflix in HD can use up 3GB of data which is so much when it is compared to gaming. Gaming will use about 0.81GB of data which is so small when you compare it to streaming Netflix. I know that when this lockdown was put out then Netlfix changed there quality so that a lot more people could watch it without is being slow which made the effect on the larger network a lot less. This is good because if Netflix can limit the amount of data it is sending then a lot more people will get a faster connection for when they are working from home.
Try your best not to overload your wifi, for example, try to limit the number of devices that are connected to the wifi as this will help improve the speed you are getting and if you are streaming on a tablet then turn the wifi on your phone off so then this can free up some more data making it faster. I hope you are all coping with the internet demand and that if you are working in a tech company I hope that there is not too much strain on your internal and external servers. As always....
Stay Safe IFB :)
