Phone Companies Giving Location Data To Government To Support Lockdown

I have just seen a post online that phone companies can use our location services to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. I am not sure if this is a good or bad idea I suppose it is good to help stop the spread of coronavirus but it is bad because it invades our personal data. There was the new data protection act to help prevent this but because it is the government then you will find a way around it so if you are going to break the law then leave your phone at home.
Other countries have made people who are infected download an app to make sure that they can track their involvement with other people. There are reports of the government working on getting something like this running but I am not sure how effective it is or how close they are to realizing something like this. Some countries have taken much more serious measures with having surveillance on their citizens and there have been talks about having drones fly around to track people who go out. The Uk has had a lot of freedom so far before and even during the lockdown compared with other countries which meant that we could dance around the rules and still go out, which now means we will be on lockdown for a lot longer.
If you look at the UK compared with other countries you can see how different we have got it.
Remember that hot day and everyone went to the beech yeah that's why we are now on full lockdown. It is not hard to stay at home so unless you want to become like all those other countries who can not leave there home I would recommend we stay at home.

Stay safe. IFB :)
