These apps are the latest thing to hit the cyber-security and they are very hard to spot, they usually start by offering you a free trial and then when you sign up for the trial and forget to cancel it when it is over they will start to charge you a small fortune. They avoid all of the legal battles of fraud because of the loopholes that they have found and they have over 3.5million downloads on both apple and google play store.
Why is this so important can I not just uninstall the app? Well, you could uninstall the app but even when you have done that the application can still charge you for the membership through your credit card. You have got to make sure that you either cancel the membership and make sure that you have canceled it or just not sign up for it in the first place. Usually what I do is if something is offering me a free trial then I should not need to put my bank details into it if it is a free trial then the applications does not have my bank details and can not charge anything to my card.
If you are ever putting your bank details on something then , make sure that it is a secure site and that you trust the site. Never sign up and put your bank details into something that should be free because this how they get you. Please be careful when using apps and websites as there could be scammers everywhere. Do not risk your online privacy for the sake of a free trial and please make sure that you stay safe online, as always...
