How The Internet & Technology Fueled The Protests

Every day there is a new protest about something that is going on, this is a way the people share there voice there opinion about events that are going on. It is up to you to decide if they are wrong or right.

Before technology and the internet, it was harder to send messages to people to get a large group of people all to follow the same message but now you can do it at home with just a few clicks. Back in the day, the only way to go against the people in power was to start a war this was, I think, known as a revolution, I did not take history so feel free to correct me if I am wrong. This way the lower class or the civilians would be able to take back power and have there freedom's again.

Now, nearly everyone has got an internet connection which means that anyone has got a way of sharing their message. You could have a group of people together in just a few minutes and just a few clicks. This is very scary because one day you might be on the opposite side of it and they might be 100's of people against you just because of a few clicks online.

The internet has speeded up the spread of the news about something that happened across the other side of the world and I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. It has given so many more people a voice for them to spread their message.

Sometimes this message can be good and other times this message can also be bad which is not great because I know that there will be a lot of people that will believe this as they have read it online. There is so much fake news around and it is spread so fast online as with just a few shares just a few minutes and it can become viral meaning everyone will see it.

There have been examples of this in the past few days with what has happened with George Floyd, if nobody was there to record it or to spread it online then it would not have been as popular but because of the internet, so many more people have been able to join forces and spread justice for him. I think this is a good use of the freedom that you get online and it is a positive message to spread.

In some cases, this fuel and this shear force and power that you have got online can spread fake news and false reports for example this 5G causing corona or that it is deadly fo you but if you look into it 5G is perfectly safe to use.

Everyone will share something online and whatever you share it will probably get 10 views or more if you have some following, and this is how it spread. Think of the internet and technology as a virus you can choose whether you spread some good news or some bad fake news either way whatever you share is going to be spread. Please make sure that you spread the good news and not the fake news.

There is so much information online some of it is true and then some of it is not and you have got to make sure that you pick out what is good from what is bad. The technology has helped everyone communicate and this is how the protests have spread. All information spreads online so quickly so please be careful what you share and if you see something that is fake or false or just plain and simply wrong then try your best to report it so that there is a chance that we can put a stop to this sort of news.
